Need help finding lift kit!!

Hi all!
I recently got a 06 Liberty renegade and I'm now looking to lift it. But I need help finding a good lift kit because I'm very new to this. I've heard that just getting spacers isn't the best way to go (that's all my knowledge on lifting my car). Anyways I need help finding a good 2.5" lift kit. I'm willing to spend up to $300 but I'm willing to go slightly over if it's a very good kit. If anyone knows any parts I can get to make my own "kit" that would also work.

at a 300 budget, the best i can say is save your money, do a top plate + clevis lift in the front, and an inch or so of home made 1" spacer under the rear isolators. it'll net you about an inch of lift. or at the worst, get you back to a stock height depending on how much your suspension has sagged

+3 conduit nuts for the clevis lift

and then whatever you can fashion up for the rear out of plywood etc

unfortunately at 300ish there's no proper way to do a spring lift with the necessary new shocks

First thing measure from middle of the wheel in front to lower edge of flare
New it would of been 19 inches or there about
Now like jarhead mentioned there is nothing at all in the way of a real lift that cost 300 bucks, 4 OME springs are 340 without shocks etc.
So save up and wait a bit and do it right
Like he mentioned you can do a small lift with the parts mentioned

After hearing from a lot of people that I should save and do it right I feel like that would be the correct way. Would the Rusy's kit be considered a "good" kit?

No, it'll sag right back to stock height pretty quickly.

Rustys have two kits and both are bad
spacer lift is well a spacer lift
there spring lift has the same rating as stock springs ( 310 lb ) and will sag. I installed one ( under protest ) and both rear shocks blew out plus sagged back to stock height in less than a year.
Same goes for Skyjacker so for get it as well
Nothing from RRO either
If you take the time to read all the info is on here and LOSTJEEPs with recommendations ( OME )

Thanks for letting me know before I make a bad decision. I've seen a post on a different forum about getting "OME medium rare coils". The only thing is I can find them on the OME website but no where else and I can't find a button to order from them.

I've said it on here before so I apologize ahead of time. My Dad used to tell me "we're too poor to be so cheap..."

What he meant was, we can go the cheap route at first but we'll be doing the project again and spending twice as much (or more) to do it right. So might as well save up the $'s and buy the parts a little at a time and do it right when you've got all the components in hand.

Yea, takes a little longer but you'll be MUCH happier when it's all done. And your friends will think you're a stud when they see the first class lift on your Liberty

Just found this on rocky-road.com. Everyone tells me to save so I guess I'm saving. I've heard that rocky-road isn't the best place to order, but is this the OME lift kit I would need?

WHAT did I print , no RRO !!!
There are very good reasons for typing that statement out

JBA has the kits as well
BUT OME does not have the 132L rear shocks any longer
So you can use OME front shocks but need to go to Bilstein rear shocks
Use 927 front and 948 rear springs

Please read what I ( and hundreds of others ) have posted on the forums for years and years

Oh and www.boulderbars.com has OME springs and handle other shocks as well
They have the Frankenlift but that gives you 4 inches of lift new and would need to buy the jeepinbyal upper control arms

Ok thanks for reminding me to read everything carefully. I've been looking for the OME front shocks but either I haven't looked hard enough or I'm looking in the wrong places because I can only find the rear ones that aren't the correct ones.
Please if you can include a link to where I can find some.

I've installed OME / OME- OME / Bilstien on a lot of KJs
Ran OME two different times on my 04 different setups ( springs )
But what I recommend is OME 927/948 springs ( this gives you 2.5 inches of lift ) and can go more for not much more
Shocks I would do Bilstein all around , ride good
Teraflex bumpstops in front and two hockey pucks per side bolted down to the lower spring perch.
Good overall ride and like mentioned 2.5 inches of lift.
If you want more height then easy to do, but up over 3-3.25 inches you would need to go to jeepinbyal upper control arms

I currently run JBA coilovers , fully adjustable but a lot more money retail is over 2500. I think now
So above is best bet to keep price lower
Many on here will say the same

Although they are listed as struts we have shocks in front , coilover shocks and YES you would need 2 for the front 2 for the rear
I sent you what they cost etc before from JBA and shockwarehouse for the fronts
