Currently working on a homemade lightbar, the onlythings left to do, are add the lights, and wire them. Unfortunately, all my electronic training was a few years ago, and I completely forgot. Is there anyone in the NY area (willing to travel) who would be willing to help me out with this?
PM. me

Cant remember where Boiler is but him and Kb0nly both stand out in my head for helping me with wiring in the past. Hit the search bar and you should find some stuff about wiring them up with relays and fuses and all. its all very simple. just make sure you have the right amp fuses and relays. almost burnt my jeep down having my renny light bar and two fogs through 16 ga. wire..

That must have gotten quite hot:eek:

I just skimmed this website and saw some good explanations on certain things and figures it would help you out a little bit with the chart at the bottom of the page I am a link

If you want some recommendations, PM me with your plans.

I think I need to sit down and do a how to one of these days and consolidate some info.

The link speedracerbubba posted is GREAT. Read it and follow it. Except for one thing, ignore the 12V part of the ampacity chart. Just size according to the 110 VAC side and increase your wiring by one size if you're going more than about 10 feet. Those are just general rules for "playing it safe by Boiler".
