Hello, wife and I are in the process of buying a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. She love the vehicle and I'm just glad to get her into Mopar...

Just wondering if I can get some quick info on these year.

Specs-
AWD
3.7 V6
74K miles
Don't really know much else about it. I'm new to Jeep my self.

I look forward to learing new things about them...

Oh I'm an active user on DodgeTalk.com so hit me up, same user name! :)

Just some quick pics

Hmm... what do you want to know? :)

Not much to tell ya. Pretty simple and rather reliable Jeep. Keep fluids changed, should last a good bit. I'd negotiate a new battery as part of the sale.

3.7L Engine = Good.
W5A580 Transmission = Good
Chrysler 8.25 Rear Axle = Good (Front axle, also a Chrysler corporate axle, some have had complaints about a whine, but some people either live with the whine or just don't have the issue)

The Key/fob Combos don't have the best lifetime. The buttons wear down / crack / split over time. You really have to be nice to them.

Thanks for the info. It already has a new battery in it, along with new tires.

They informed me that ****** was leaking when it was traded in but they had it fixed! I hope that isn't common :(

We go Monday to haggel prices so we'll see

I've heard of a few transmission leaks. Not even gonna lie, I forgot about that, but it is common. Most of them have been right there at the fill tube. There was a recall issued for this.

You can go to 35's on those diffs but you'll need to do some trimming in your fenders and a decent lift.

The ****** leaking isnt a common problem at all. This is the first WK ive heard thats had that happen.

Oh man, believe me.... it was in fact common. I remember being in the dealership with my '04 KJ just for flippin oil changes and I heard it a few times. Transmission leak.....

Not common ANYMORE, it has been "fixed" by the recall, but before... oh boy.

Look forward to talking with ya'll and learning about our new Jeep!

And FYI...were not going to be lifting it, wife wanted to keep her MPG and if we are going to do any wheeling we've got my truck! :)
