So I just got a new to me 2003 Jeep Liberty. I basically got it for $200 because it had 185K on it, some dings, and needed brakes and the owner had bought it new, and decided to upgrade. I had purchased it just because it had working 4 wheel and could tow my work trailer until my truck was fixed, no plans on keeping it very long. I drove it the 120 miles home and love it, so I decided this will replace my Truck as my daily work vehicle. So after the new brakes, roaters and new radiator, trying to find the mystery smoke coming out form under the hood (which turns out to be burning adhesive because they glued in a stripped O2 censor) I'm only in it $500.

Ah a fellow northerner! My old pickup was 2 wheel drive and only had 14" rims, gonna be nice this winter having something in 4 wheel. The wife has a AWD C-RV but I rarely get to drive it without her in the vehicle because, I feel anything with a turbo needs be driven aggressively, and she disagrees. Rocker panels in the liberty are rusted and spread to one door, the salt on the roads up here beats the bodies, but aftermarket ones are cheap on rock auto, bandaid the door rust and replace the rockers and then cover them in bed liner is my plan, get another year or so out of it, when it does die I may end up buying a newer Jeep. My ex had a wrangler that was a gas guzzler and I didn't like it much so I never gave the Jeep brand much thought. This liberty changed my mind, room for the kids car seats, 4 wheel drive, I can tow my tool trailer with it and haul my ladders. What impressed me was when I was driving home on the seasonal unpaved roads, the suspension is great and smooth ride even on rough stuff. I used it for work yesterday and was giving one of my employees a ride home and mentioned how cheap I got it and he told me "This is the cheapest work vehicle you have had since I started working with you and this is defiantly the most comfortable nicest ride so far"
