Hello all, I just picked up a 2002 sport a week ago for $500. I've have two XJ's before and loved them and honestly never paid liberty's much attention. But I'm really starting to like it. It's like a little goat and I'm starting to believe more capable than most give it credit for.

It has it's fair share of problems but they aren't major. Just a good amount of rust, but that just gives me an excuse to buy a welder.

I've been looking into lift kits. After I fix all the rust and go through basic maintenance. Want to make it kind of an overland rig.

Lift kits are becoming few and far between these days. OME and then spacer lifts....yuck.

Front suspension will drag a lot. Get skid plates...

OME springs 927 front, 948 rear with either OME or bilstein shocks
stock shocks in front and then extended length for the rear, can provide numbers
will give an honest 2.5 inches over new stock height
teraflex front bumpstops
2 hockey pucks per side bolted down to spring perch in the rear for rear bumpstops
if you want 3 inches easy enough to do as well
any bigger than a 30.5 inch tire go to 4.10 gearing

Yeah I've been looking at OME. I don't need a huge lift. Maybe in the future if I ever so SAS but that's more of a dream.

OME 925/947 spring combo will only give you about an inch but spring rate is what KJs should of came with, ride is great
