New KJ!, well not new, but new to me!

I wanted to say hello to everyone. We just picked up an 06 KJ, sport, 3.7L V6. I've owned several XJs in the past, but this is my first Jeep without the straight 6. Are there any problems to look forward in the 3.7L, I've heard oil problems, but that's the only common problem I've read about. My old XJs had 3" rancho lifts, but I'm not sure Rancho is even around anymore Anyway, if anyone needs to know anything about the XJs, let me know, and hopefully I'll learn just as much if not more about the KJs.

Welcome, and congrats on your '06 KJ. Lease return, I'm guessing?

What oil problems?

The engine overall is a pretty tough engine. There's several examples out there with 200 and even 300k without any major issues. Some of the early 3.7Ls have had some valve issues but other than that, it's proving to be a pretty tough and long lasting engine. Just keep the oil changed...

Oil problems

The only thing I've ever heard about oil problems was from my mechanic. He said the oil return ports were a little small and has seen a couple clog, so he recommends 5w20 instead of 5w30.

I've never seen it happen, or heard about it on the forums.
