Hello, new to this forum, been lurking, reading, but first post.

I recently installed the Mudd/JPA Econolift using the 0.375 Clevis Spacer and it looks a little low in the front. Do you think I need to change it?

I would ... but it depends on the look you want ... mine is actually higher in the front than the rear. But I wanted to get rid of any rake.

measure (hub to flare) like Hed says... for a starting point.

Mine has just about that amount- maybe a touch less but looks pretty close. I like a bit of rake so when you haul/tow stuff it sits level and doesn't look all sagged out.

Not sure what you can do for the rear. If I'm correct I think Mudd's econo lift comes with JBA 4" rear springs. Tommudd might be able to help you. How long ago did you install the lift? And the measurements would help as well.

You can always get a larger spacer for the clevis to even it out. Mine is just a tad lower in the front and it annoys me so that's what I'm doing. I have the same sized spacer in as you.

I appreciate the comments, I will probably just get the new spacer and swap them out.

You have the 3/8" clevis lift now. I think you can get away with the 1/2" clevis, but don't hold me to it. One of the pros could correct me there. If you can do the 1/2" safely, just run down to the hardware store and grab a 2" conduit nut to add to your current spacer.

CORRECTION
3/8 inch clevis is enough
1/2 inch is too much , pulling the bottom of the shock up too far

The front and rear wheel openings are different heights. When level, the front 'looks' higher. ;-)

Newbie here, I want a 2 1/2-3" lift, what to do? I'm new to jeep libertys. I've had fords 4x4 lifted, one F250 4" and the Excursion 6". But I just got this lil jeep and I was impressed how it performed in a trail completely stock. Know I'm hooked and I need help to do it right from the beginning. No more trail and error for me did that with one of the Ford's and got expensive fast. So if anybody can guide me the right way I will greatly appreciated. Oh, let me see pictures too. Thanks guys!!!!

Definitely do some reading around. There is A LOT of info on lifts here and other Liberty forums.

What year Liberty do you have? If it's 02-07 then it's a KJ, 08-12 is a KK.

I personally have a KK so I don't know all the options for a KJ besides the JBA lifts, OME, and Ironman. But definitely worth it to go for the full spring/shock lift. I believe I'm getting about 3-3.5" of lift with my OME/Bilstein lift. I have to go out and measure to see if it settled more. Ride is great as well. Definitely listen to anything Tommudd says/recommends. He knows basically all there is to know about lifting Liberties.

As BMXer said, tons of info on here - just do a search on lifts, sit back with an adult beverage and read for about the next 3 days (seriously, TONS of info here!)

Stick with a spring/shock lift - do NOT use a spacer lift as you'll just do it twice and you'll have a repeat of the experience you had with one of your Fords. OME/Bilstein and Ironman/Ironman lifts from JeepinByAl.com are very popular, very affordable and provide excellent on- and off-road rides. They run under $750 before shipping for the springs and shocks. A new entry into the lift options is the TomMudd EconoLift from JBA - a couple more bucks but everything is included in the kit so you don't have to add any accessories and additional components. Put together by the Jedi Master of off-road Libertys his own bad self!

I run the OME/Bilstein setup and am very happy with it.

Mine is a 2004 sport, it sits 17" in the front and 17 3/4 in the back. Thanks for the info I will search.
