I have a 2003 Jeep Cherokee KJ which goes into gear on startup after 5 mins it doesn't but if I turn the engine off and restart the jeep then goes into gear again for a while?

Hmm.. Ignition or neutral safety switch, comes to mind, something sounds like it is out of adjustment.
When it 's not in gear while running, and you were to place the auto trans into neutral and then back into drive does it work, or only turning it off / restart seems to work?

hi i have a 2003 jeep cherokee which one minute goes into gear next min it dosent

Try pumping the clutch pedal a few times while in neutral and then put it in gear.

Might be a clutch master or slave cylinder going bad.

I've never looked at the clutch setup on a manual Liberty so that's about the limit of my knowledge.
