Thought I would ask this to the panel of experts.
I recently replaced my rear rotors and pads.
I started hearing high tone grinding noise, to me i thought it was metal on metal.
I thought it might be the parking brake shoes hitting the hat of the new rotor.
I turned the star wheel all the way down to see if that stopped.
It sort of did.
I checked the piston its working fine.
I am assuming its break in noise I am hearing?
Its not as aggressive as it was but I hear it on both sides and it doesn't stop when I press the break.
Thoughts?
