I just registered for access to this site and wanted to offer my assistance to anyone who is trying to solve a water leak in the rear compartment of their 2006 Liberty Limited. I've gone thru the process of dismantling the entire interior of my vehicle, including dropping the headliner to repair the leaks I found.

Where was yours leaking?

Loose water collection tray, plugged drain hoses, and roof rust seem to be the usual suspects.

I found the water channels leaking, where the aluminum side front and rear channel pieces are joined to the plastic corners were the points leaking. The compound used to seal the aluminum to the plastic was defective. I had to remove the sunroof from the vehicle, disassemble the assembly by drilling out the rivets, removing all of the compound at the joints and applying a 3M Marine product in its place.

Good job! Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum. My sunroof does not leak, mostly due to the fact I don't have one. I wish I did though, so I could fix it when it leaks.
Again, Welcome.
