Hi, Newbie from SE France, 200?4? CRD Cherokee, 217Kkm, all seems reasonable, will be used 95% on the road. It's an auto, which was a MUST with my ancient knees.

Will be getting it at the end of the week, will be asking about any faults I find.

When was the cam belt last changed? Expensive job so worth checking.
Also check the sills for rust, they always seem to go there.
Make sure it drives through the gears ok.

Sills OK, it had a 'Controle Technique' ( French Condition check-up every 2 years) in November when several minor faults were noted and corrected, so it seems a genuine vehicle. My wife drove it home 70 km distance with no reported problems. Can't seem to get the top tailgate to latch, probably me doing the wrong thing. Will be putting it in for a service fairly quickly. Priorities will be a radio replacement (replace original with a SD card-compatible model) and putting in long-range spots where the fogs would be if fitted. The seller very nicely added a perfect rear upper tailgate as a freebie.

The upper tailgate latch is a bit of a recurring theme on here, try releasing it on the key fob then close it, the microswitch in the lower gate handle fails so it gets disconnected, opening the lower gate then forces the upper out of a closed latch so it can't be closed again.
