Noise after lift

Just installed OME 3" lift. 927/948s, Bilstien shocks, JBA UCAs, JBA 1/4" top plate. Aligned perfectly, torque on all is in spec. When I hit a bump in the road, I can hear a slight jingle almost like tapping a tambourine. Parked it and started thumping with a rubber mallet and found when I tap the LCA I can faintly hear it. Seems to be up in the fender well. I'm assuming this is one of the washers that come with the Bilsteins rattling. Have I missed something as I assume this isn't right?

So its in the rear I assume since you mention washers for the bilsteins ??

No the front. I'm talking about the 2 washers that come with the strut/shock. The instruction show to place one directly over the dust cover and the other goes on top of the stock mounting plate

I assumed you tightened both down ?
Seen ones that were not and had to pull everything apart
Check everything else first
Did you tighten everything with full weight sitting on the ground?

Tightened everything to torque specs with the weight on it on the ground. Jacked the front up in the air so the suspension was at full sag and verified it was that. I took a screwdriver and was able to move the dust cover up and let it drop down, there was the jingle sound. I'm guessing I didn't get the top nut of the shock/strut torqued down properly and the bottom washer is flopping.

Tightened everything to torque specs with the weight on it on the ground. Jacked the front up in the air so the suspension was at full sag and verified it was that. Weird thing is, I tightened them to torque (30 ft lbs) or at least I thought I did. the dust cover is supposed to be snug at full droop, right? At any rate, gonna park it and pull it apart this weekend and check.

Sometimes its the simplistic things that will get you
I always check the sway bar links and things easier first just to double check. A lot of times I am showing a first timer how to do a lift on theirs so a small thing is missed or just not quite tight enough

I had same thing and my problem was bushings needed to be greased. Afterward, not a sound come from front.

No bushings to grease though ???
If you did then either bushings were worn out or ??
Plus most grease will deteriorate bushings

Never looked at it since. Its been about a yr since lift.

Blew it back apart today. Sure enough, nut wasn't torqued to spec. It was allowing the dust cover to slap up and down against the lower washer when I hit a bump. Luckily had only driven it 20 miles or so before I caught it. Tightened It up using a crows foot and hex key this time. No more tambourine clang, yay!

Good deal not the first one, have even had preassembled Frankenllifts that were the same way when we went to install them

Sorta happened to me...previous owner forgot to install BOTH washers when they assembled the strut. The shock shaft pushed through the rubber and it rattled like baseball cards in bike spokes.
