Not a KJ but....(Edited w/ new XK)

Look at what I got for some time:She's an 08 Red Rock XK. Only Quadra Trac I, but more that what the Durango has.... Sorry about the bad pics, more will follow in the snow.

Here are my initial impressions:

The Auto Stick works nice in the nice and rolling mountains. The 3.7l is a lot quiter than it is in the KJ. I still need to try out Quadra Trac I though.

I think it looks good. Congrats on your new jeep.

As you break it in, let us know how it is.

looks sharp. im also surprised there is not a larger engine in that car, but hey we all know that the 3.7 can do the job. I think that with a body colored grill it will just look like a heavy cherokee. Do you like the interior and dash?

The dash is my favorite thing. Now I got another, the one above started to burn oil and all five quarts leaked out. It left me stranded for 6 hours. The one I have now is black, and missing a 4x4 badge. It's a 4x4 because I got under and checked. I'll post pics tomarrow of the new one.

The Commander would look SO MUCH BETTER with a body colored grille.

Is this a rental?

Yes it's a rental. It went back early due to burning oil. Now I got a black one.

Dave

It's rental, and it is well broken in (36,000 miles) I have a black due to it burning oil. Sorry if I fooled ya, early April Fools!!!

kinda surprises me they put the 3.7 in those things. Does it feel a lot slower than the kj?

It feel a tad slower. The 10,000 ft altitude doesn't help, and it weighing a bit more. It's fine though. The 5 speed ****** really helps.

Let's try this again....

They sent out a replacement XK due to the issue with the other one, so let's try this again. NOTE: Even though it lacks a 4x4 badge it is a 4x4, I checked under. I will try to get some better pics today.

Awesome, Are you keeping that? I'm confused..

I guess those 4x4 badges are an 'added option'.

I'm keeping for the week, then back to the rental place......or the dealer, it has 36,400 miles on it!!! A lot for a rental if I may add.
