Just kidding :icon_twisted:

Picked up some Autolite Coppers tonight to install this weekend...noticed the box of 4 was made in Mexico (expected) and the two single ones are China made. Anyone have issues with the China ones?

Haven't checked the gap yet and I thought NGK had issues with the spark plug coming apart?

Never seen ones from China but would assume that they would be OK, if not take them back and get ones from the good old USA

From what I've read the champion plug was the one the design was based on I don't know why Chrysler went with NGK. ( Guessing they won the bid)

I have a fresh box of the NGK's to install (OEM copper core ones) and they say on the box......assembled in the USA......parts from Japan and Mexico is stated on another spot on the box. I never looked to see where they were made before.

I have not had any trouble with the copper core NGK's and have been using them since the pig was new. Never tried any other brand on the KJ.

I have used about every brand of plugs on various vehicles over the years and I have broken the porcelain before but not in a long time. (maybe it was cracked or something)

I remember when I first bought my Jeep I went and picked up new spark plugs and coil packs, I was holding 6 Platinum high end expensive plugs the guy said were the OE plugs, The typical old school guy was cashing me out and asked me what kind of vehicle they were going in and when I told him he asked me what moron told me to use them and got me a set of good ol Champion copper cores for an 8th of the price haha.

Fancy spark plugs are like fancy fishing plugs...designed to catch fishermen, not fish...

Never had a problem with copper core NGKs. I have had an Autolite (that I didn't install) come apart on me.

Took the autolites back and got the NGK V power ones.
That is ok HJ, the Ngk's do work well! I still check the gaps out of the box.

I just recently changed mine and like the NGK. Do they make a 6 pack?
I only found a 4 pack & two more were needed.
Jeep's gap is .040 and only one of the new plugs needed a slight adjustment.
I do use a snif of anti-seize on the threads, and a bit of dielectric grease, inside of coil boots.

Got the exact ones you did...4 and 2. Had to adjust the gap a smidge on all of them.

Yup. Exactly what I use and I always check the gaps also. Mostly they are right on but every once in a while one needs to be tweeked a bit. I used to use a tiny bit of anti-seize also but I do not bother any more. I do use a tiny bit of dialectic grease on the coil boot.

The NGK's I have been getting also come in a 4-pak so I end up with a box of 4 and 2 more also. (never seen them in a 6-pak)
