Does anyone here know any good sites for transfer case parts? Im looking to rebuild my 231-J to see if it stops a drive train vibration due to a bad output shaft bearing. (case shows signs of a bad bearing. noise, vibrations and outer case is coated in oil)

Just looking for a seal kit, bearing kit, chain, and any more parts I may need.

Just be aware that there are several different versions of the 231J. For example, the one listed on that website has a completely different snout for the output shaft than most 2005+(?) KJ's do. Make sure to take a look at the parts fiche for your specific year, and compare the part numbers to the parts you're planning on buying.

Yes, ive seen the 231J used in alot of jeeps with alot of different snouts, yoke connections, etc. Im more concerned about internal parts, as they're the same across any 231J.

There are two different widths of chain available, and there are at least two different kinds of oil pumps and output shafts. I found it out the hard way haha, I ended up with a new oil pump with a spline count that didn't match my output shaft. Bearing and seal for the range selector input also vary depending on which exact case you have.

No sorry haha. I meant to edit that post, but accidentally created a new post instead. Everything in that quote is correct.
