27mm. has to be a deep socket.
I used a 6 point.

It is best to fit the socket from the top rather than from the bottom, I've found.
There's no specific torque value. Just till it is in snug.

New sensor should have thread sealant on it already.

+1 Yeah, you really don't need to wail on it...remember, it will have to come OUT again sometime....

27mm deep 6pt.

12pt will probably round it and then you're kinda screwed (no pun intended).

If you have any reservations about having low oil pressure install a oil pressure gauge. I just installed mine today and really think that every vehicle should have one from the factory.
