Have an 05 liberty renegade 4x4 looking for suggestions for affordable extra lighting options. Besides a bull bar what brackets or other mounting options are practical & somewhat easily installed?

Just mount them on the bumper

If you want a cheap, but good set of lights buy the hella 500 FF's and then upgrade the bulbs to 100 watters like me.
This will work, that's how many (all?) of the KJ Renegades have their lower aux lights mounted.
I'd do that too... except my front bumper is brand new and the shiny new silver paint is only a year old... I'd hate to drill into essentially a brand new part! lol.
Jeeps not yours until you drill that first hole in it!
I've bought brand new Jeeps that had their bumpers removed within days LOL
But it won't hurt the plastic any at all.

Why not mount a 32" straight LED light bar on the center of the front bumper? It fits so perfectly in between the front blinkers - 180W LED bars go for 35$ + wiring kit 15$ = total of 50$+tax for super strong light and I suspect MUCH easier installation than on the roof.

Here is a picture of a 52" on the front bumper. I would highly suggest not going this wide, but it did secure nicely to the frame.
I have also since gotten rid of this light and replaced it with a 22" I have on the roof basket that I have.

That does bring up another question. My 65th Anniversary Edition has a sunroof, so I have a roof basket that sets back behind it. If I mount a light bar on the basket, I figured the front half of my roof would interfere with the light, and make a shadow. Anyone try it before and know if I'm right or not? Figure I'll have to mount it in front of the sunroof.
All depends on how you have it aimed. Most times you would have it aimed out farther so while some light would of course spill down onto the hood it would work.
Of course the current tread for a while longer is to mount them right above the windshield. then the light spills down onto the hood.
Either way, get into any dust etc at all and forget about using them .

So you would recommend NOT roof mounting them then?
Mine is on my roof and aimed to take over where my headlights start to fade so it's not angled down enough to cause a shadow.

Man im a straight Southern Country boy from MS & the lack of liberty renegade accessories information here mostly can only be found from kids who have no idea what they are talking about. Thanks for all info. I am taking ALL ACCESSORY INFO on liberty rengd 4x4!

I have never used any enough to have them up there plus the dust issues trying to see but its the in thing right now like i said to have them. :gr_grin:

The roof is where i think i want them most. Bc i can honestly see them not making it long on my bumper
Just don't get on any Fakebook type sites, unless you like to laugh a lot

Thick brush, mud, downed trees. This is everday not just a weekend thing. Mine wont last on front bumper. Looks or not.
