Oil Pressure light to Gauge.

I would like to replace my Oil Pressure Idiot Light with an Oil Pressure Gauge. I have seen members talking about running hoses from the engine to the gauge for manual gauges. I was wondering if I can attach an electronic gauge to the wires that go to the warning light.
Any ideas?

No lol. The idiot light is simply that. The sending unit senses the existence of pressure but not how much. You could tee in an actual proper sending unit and run wires to a gauge if you wanted; this has been done in Rams for years.
