i have a P0340 code only, one my wife's 03 KJ, 3.7. i changed both the cam sensor and the crank sensor. i had the battery disconnected while i did this, plugged it all in, hooked up the battery and nothing just cranks, won't start. i unhooked the battery again and waited like 10 minutes hooked it up and still nothing. where do i start trouble shooting. i only have a multimeter, what wires get power, and how much voltage. can someone give me advice and diagrams or something.

So does the engine turn over but does not fire?

Do you hear the fuel pump running?

Any spark?

Do you have the SKIS amber "Key" symbol on the left side of the cluster..red LED on newer KJs....light up with ignition ON and then goes out after a few seconds? If this Key signal flashes or stays ON you have a skis problem.

If the vehicle fired up before you replaced the cam and crank sensor then you probably disturbed something in that area, fitted a faulty new component or have wrong or loose connectors attached to them.

You can try swap over the fuel pump relay and swap over the ASD relay with identical ones nearby.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Chrysler PCM's have a very hard time actually figuring out which sensor is actually bad,cam or crank, so it just throws a code and why all diagnostics state test both and replace both. You will need a scope to properly test both the cam and crank sensors($1000+ used,$5,000+ new).

Only replace with MOPAR sensors, after market cam/crank sensors are known issues on all Chrysler's.There are 2 crank sensors 2 cam sensors and parts store employee's are awfully dumb.
