P0765 Shift Solenoid "B"question.

Hi Guys, it's been a while since I've been here. Still have my KJ 4 years later. So I am back with a question though. There is a road in my town that is the longest 10 minute drive you'll take. It's a true test for your transmission and brakes. Usuallly when I hit the bottom and I'm almost out, the KJ lurches for a second, like a bucking bronco, then it's fine again. I replaced the bank 1 sensor 2 O2 sensor and it cleared every single code and there was like 5. Then yesterday, I came down that road and it bucked like normal, but the RPMs shot up, the longer I held in the gas, the higher they climbed. So I just coasted until they were around 2. Then it threw a new cel. P0765 Shift Solenoid "B". I've been watching videos and researching but I'm still clueless. Do I need to replace the whole valve body, or just the shift solenoid block? A garage said I need a new valve body, and most of the research points to the solenoid block. I can't find an individual solenoid B, though I know A and B exist. I would extremely appreciate a straight answer. Thank you guys.

What YEAR is your KJ?
It's an 03 automatic. I was going to get this kit from Amazon, but I'm totally flying blind into this. I have no clue if this is the part to fix what's going on or not. I asked the mechanic that's going to install it if it was right and he seemed not really interested in what I was showing him and he just said, yeah.

Has the transmission ever been serviced before with new fluid & filter?
Is the ATF +4 fluid clean, smell burnt at all on dipstick ?
The 42RLE may need a bit more fluid added especially on steep hills.
I installed a deeper PML aluminum transmission pan which helps to keep things much cooler as well.
I turn the overdrive off on steep hills its easier on the transmission.

I installed a deeper PML aluminum transmission pan which helps to keep things much cooler as well.
When I bought it 4 years ago, the ****** pan had a leak, and I had to keep pouring in fluid until I got the money to get it fixed. So the fluid has been drained, clean filter, clean pan and magnet and clean fluid. I'm at 175k miles right now and was told to not change out the fluid. But I had a guy check the dipstick while it was hot and he said it looked a little over, but it looked fine. It pretty much always did that lurch on the road I mentioned, but it never threw a CEL until I cleared all the codes out.

I have only used the OD a few times, just to see if it made a difference. I never actually used it for driving though. I appreciate the conversation, no one else on the forum knows the answer, but would you mind reading the OP and possibly give a little feedback on what my issue is? Thank you.
