Don't the Bruins fans give you grief about the tire cover?

Or do you just keep a list of Stanley Cup wins on you at all times?:upyours:

I live in MD now....Caps territory. :whymewhyme:

But I grew up in Hartford Whaler territory and saw Mr Hockey (Gordie Howe) play quite a bit - with his sons, even. And my best friend lives pretty near Marlon now, too. So when the current owner lied and moved the team despite surpassing the goals he set, it was an easy transfer for me. I cannot stand the Bruins...

My very first NHL game was the Whalers @ Joe Louis. Gordie and sons were in full effect! Wow you must have been very young then ... ;)

Good Luck with the zapping!

In other news .. Mopar Slush mats finally gave out ... ordered Husky Liners today... but I will miss the Jeep logo on my old ones :(

I might not be as young as you think...high school class of '87.

However, I did start going to games about '75 or '76. Usually went to 9 or 10 per year and watched every other game possible on tv. But we listened to the radio call of Chuck Kaiton even if the game was televised (at least from the '79-'80 season on).

On another note, I love my Husky Liners.

I grew up in Arlington and was at the very first Caps game back at the old Capitol Centre in 1974. I saw many games since then, with a season high of 19 (out of 40 home games) in the early 1980s.

The Whalers are a sore spot for me, due to my own careless mistake at a Caps-Whalers game. In a state of (inebriated) exuberance I shouted out "Send 'em packing all the way back to Massachusetts!@$%#!" during a particularly intense part of the game. Some old guy who looked like Grandpa Walton leaned down and in a very quiet and sorrowful voice informed me that Hartford was in Connecticut. Needless to say, I was pretty subdued after that... :icon_neutral:

So I parked next to another Jeep, while my other vehicle was inside being serviced..
The lady owner of the black GC emerges & says to me...
"Wow is your Jeep Ever Tall"
(And even though I felt like saying It's amazing what 3 extra inches can do)
I Said Thanks, it has a lift kit...and handles so much better now !
I asked her if they have ever used their jeep off road, and she said...
"NO we just use it as advertising when we are at open houses etc, as it's our business car" (ouch)...
