Hi all

I have a 8.25 29 spline diff with factory limited slip differential. Spider gears are shot as a result of clutch plates giving up. Where can I get replacement spider gears and plates from. Cant seem to find them anywhere. Also is the factory limited slip diff called the trac loc?

Thanks for your time

Mopar would be best bet, or pull it since is junk and install a real locker like a TruTrac etc

Yes it is a Trac-Lok 8.25 clutch based, Limited slip differential.
The gear oil should be changed very frequently on these (20k miles or sooner) and don't forget to add the 5 oz bottle of limited slip Mopar additive.
I also have the Trac-Lok and now use Lucas 85w-140 with the additive.
The name Trash Lok suits these, especially if you dont change the gear oil often.
Under warranty, my jeep had the clutches replaced at only 25,000 miles.
If the clutches fail again, I will install a Detroit TruTrac, and wont waste my time on the Chrysler design!
