I made a video about Dolly. I used it to create awareness about the situation. I used to volunteer at rescues but realized the time I was spending there, I could have been spending with Dolly so I stopped and started spending more time with Dolly.
The video is called Man's Best Friend. It's on youtube. I'm making a followup to it. I started shooting last month. The first one took two years to shoot. Once I had all the footage, I edited a short film and recorded a voiceover. It was easy. I've been doing it a long time.

I watched the vid, and I must say it's a little creepy, but oddly still deserves a "Like"! Good on you for the rescue. Keep up the good work!

I watched it. The only thing that creeped me out is the knowledge that so many animals are not so lucky.

It is a harsh reality. I used to work with rescues as a volunteer.
Dolly is good. Although she's deaf, she gets out to the park quite a bit. We're in Texas so the winter is mild. She loves riding in the Jeep and has taken over the back seat and passenger seat running between them to which ever window I have open. She's a dog, she's gotta put her head out the window.
I'm thinking about taking a trip with her to Moab later this year. I'd like to consider the Rubicon for later. Is a 2.5 inch lift and 32 inch tires going to be enough clearance to get me through there?

Some great dogs in this thread. Had dogs for years but none right now. Actually had three gun shy beagles at one time. Would love to get a couple beagles again if I ever retire. Talk about escape artists...

We always had at least two dogs at a time. They had fun together and kept each other busy and sometimes out of trouble.

Cool! But you are causing me to have some dangerous thoughts, mostly due to:
...and now I'm wondering (again) if my little buddy Roscoe would be better off with a pal. (He does have these two wretched cats for company, but they don't really care to have much to do with him.)
It's a long story, but my previous two dogs were a brother and sister. I got the boy, then went back the next day and got her. They were the only two in the litter. Roscoe had both a brother and a sister. I knew I couldn't handle three dogs, so I stuck to my original plan and got just him. I knew at the time (and still believe) that if he had had only one sibling I'd have taken them both.
