Possible Recall 2002-2007?

...The gas tank was in the trunk too but it sat right behind the back rest of the Rear seats. If the vehicle rocked enough the gas could be heard moving in the tank like there was a pool in trunk.

What was going on in the back seat to make the car rock like that? :hidesbehindsofa:

this is ******** to the highest since they all passed the damn inspection when they were made. this is the government again trying to protect the shit out of me it seems while at the same time taking something from me. **** em!

Still not a recall,it's listed as a campaign which is a fix as need.Basically if you have a hitch you will get nothing.Those of you trying to get another free on by removing the one you have they will be looking for evidence of one that had been installed.

If you have a CHRYSLER hitch then you'll get nothing. If non-chrysler, broken, or non-existent, you qualify.

But yes I agree they should look for evidence that there was one otherwise money will be wasted, since people can just remove these quickly and easily...

The gas tank exploding/fire problem....

The fix Is putting hitches on the jeep if it didn't already come with one. Since I have the 6 bolt hitch I'm not a part of the recall!

I know when JLRockies had a OEM hitch installed with the RL bumper they wanted to know why as they said the RL bumper looked twice as beefy as any hitch they have ever seen.


Eitherway I'm not part of the campaign anyways as my VIN is flagged so no campaigns or recalls will ever be done,well for free at least as I would have to pay for the fix.
