Tapping the holes was half the fun! The other half was holding up the hitch and skid at the same time.

Got the recall notice in the mail today. It says "the parts are not available yet and I will be notified when they are in".
Thinking of going in when I get the "second notice" just to let them look at mine and tell me I already have an OEM hitch and gas tank skid so they are not going to do anything but clear the recall notice. That way I won't have an "open recall"

If I remember correctly, factory two packages aren't exempt from the recall because they still want to inspect that the hitch is still in good shape and not rusted away etc..

mine already has a hitch on it, but I'm thinking of taking it off and letting them replace it with a new one. I'll either sell the old one *snicker* or use it for other purposes.
This recall may not even happen.......................
