Sitting at the end of the bridge just on South Padre Island. 1130 miles one way!

Have a good pic on my phone of it sitting on the beach about 100 yards from Mexico. Forgot the camera that day like a dummy!

Resolution doesnt mean shat without DPI. Thats why some cams look better than other even at the same res.

My SD550 is above the norm at 180 DPI, but I cant take Raw. Raw is the hot. Import at any DPI you want. Lol, but the pictures are like 25mb+ each.

But anyway, average DPI in the $300 camera range is probably between 100-150 DPI. Under $300 you might end up with as low as 70-100DPI.

DPI and resolution go hand in hand to describe quality.

All I know is that is the camera I'm looking at for a personal christmas present (I already have a 35mm Nikon so the lenses would fit \:D/ )

Resizing does not affect dpi. Also resolution and DPI do not increase on an equal scale. All of my 7.1 MP photos are batch processed in photoshop to reduce both resolution and quality, my DPI however remains the same regardless.

if you got a picture at 75 dpi and if you make it 300 dpi manually it's size will be 1/4th of the original. It will not change the file size but will change the dimentions how it looks printed or on the screen, therefore condensed image, more quality, less print space..

Yeah, I'm with ya. When my KJ is up to temp it barely moves one needle-width either side of TDC on the gauge...
