Thanks to Tom, TwoBobs, and Tom's son Mac, got the lift installed last Saturday. I also threw a set of SpiderTrax spacers on there. She's still settling in, but the alignment is good.

Take the weekend off and read all about it here: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f203/dwm-seeks-ajp-wild-weekend-maybe-more-60553/

Three weeks before that I replaced brakes all the way around, including the parking brakes. The latter still need a little adjusting.

Details here: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f196/thems-brakes-59757/

Next up is getting my four front offroad lights installed. I'm still looking for some clear lens covers and trying to figure out the best way to hook into the oddball military electrical connectors. I also have two rear work lights to install.

The light saga is here: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f293/debating-offroading-lighting-idea-60401/

I'm going camping next weekend (plan on rain, if not snow), and hope to bounce the new suspension parts around a little.

With the lift on there I feel a lot less like a "Dime Store Cowboy". I am liking that.

They make them for Wranglers and they look pretty cool:

If I didn't think it would look too hillbilly I'd buy a big backpack with lots of pockets and see if I could fab my own.

See now that would be convenient!
Thought about building a shelf that fits the brackets in the rear like others on here have done and building some compartments on it.. or recessed in it.
But now this has got my mind spinning in a different direction!

I wonder if you could fold it over the top of the gate and use the four clip holes on it to put the tailgate covers clips through??
You'd have to cut a small hole for the rear glass to latch through, but I think with some modification it could be doable..

I'm sitting at 23" (give or take 1/4") all the way around.

You'll be fine or close to fine. My 265's rub just a bit and I'm at about the same. Give or take. I did pound the pinch weld and massage the front fenders a bit with a heat gun.

When you measure your height where do you measure to/from?
Just came across one of Toms responses that say front bottom edge of the bumper to the center of the wheel, is this the measurement you're referring to?

No.

Measure from the bottom of the fender flare to the center of the wheel. The flare has a radius to it so the measurement isn't exact - I try to measure from the center of the radius on all four flares. My measurements are at least consistent from project to project.

Like the bottom edge of the fender flare that is clipped onto the front bumper edge?
Or do I go to the edge of the fender flare that is behind the wheel?
The way I measured(I believe) is the way you mentioned, but I'd said bumper mostly just asking which directurn to measure..
I mean I knew my shocks were going back(which is why I'm starting to save for the lift) but didn't think I'd be sitting at 17" the whole way around.. ruh roh

19" is correct, though the first year (or maybe two) it was 19-3/4".

Well hopefully my 03 fits into the 19" category or I'm super low lol.. guess they're not too bad, but still need done. Sitting about 17 3/4"-18" in the front and just over 18" in the rear, passengers side seems to be sagging slightly more though.
Guess I need to cut down on the weight of my passengers lol :happy175:
