Why doesn't the clown who started this thread bother updating it any more? Must be one of those dime-store wienie Jeeper wannabes. :favorites68:

All the regular maintenance was done as scheduled. I'll spare everyone the blow-by-blow of each oil change, etc. I've been buying the 5,000-mile interval synthetic oil (and sometimes the 7,500-mile stuff), yet I still can't get beyond 3,000 miles on my oil before I start getting nervous and change it anyway. Old habits die hard. I guess keeping an old habit alive is OK if it keeps my engine alive as well.

I did get my offroad lights installed:

The whole saga is here: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f293/debating-offroading-lighting-idea-60401/

(Skip to Post #65 for the finished project.)

Did my gear oil again late last fall on what was probably the last halfway decent day to do it before it got too cold and snowy.

Armor is on the agenda for late spring/early summer. Want to pay down a few bills first.

Bought some front tow hooks from Jo6pak but haven't had a day warm enough to motivate me to crawl under the Jeep and install them. Soon, though.

And I do expect a big announcement in about 48 hours. ;)

Debating what is safe to leave in my garage over the winter. I brought in all the stuff labeled "do not freeze". I have some aerosols which I am wondering about, though.

They seem to survive ok. Give paint an honest warmup and shake before you try to use it.

Aeresol flat repair cans should be thawed completely before shaking or the tiny-leak-sealing-strands will bust into tiny-useless-leak-not-sealing-non-strands.

For what its worth, I bought about 6 suction cups from the hardware (the kind with the hook on them, and about 2" in diameter) and it held a failed window for about 4 days and around 400-450 miles. No mess to clean up, just stick em on the inside of the window along the top of the door panel. They are in the jeep at all times.

Late to this thread and reading through it and caught this tip. I do the same, large suction cup with a large nub on it, stays in the Jeep all the time as those windows regulators SUCK and will go out with no notice.

Now I am off in pursuit of the P0456 error code. (Small Evap system leak.)

Gas cap has been replaced. (I actually was getting the GASCAP notice before I got any codes.) The code popped up. Cleared it. It came back. Now I need to figure out what to do next.
