If you had room/felt like lugging the hard top around everywhere, sure. As far as the noise on 07s, I can't comment. I haven't been in one with a hard top.

You can get a dual top group, which has both tops.

Oh and I've driven both hard and soft tops, noise is about the same, quiet.

Oh alright, because i found a an 07 wrangler with a soft top and my dad is worried about it. So a soft top is still like a normal sounding Jeep right? No worries?

I think so, try it for yourself. I also drove it in the rain, no issues.
I'd only be concerned about the plastic windows fading and the security of a soft top.

not real sure on the '07
but I own an '02
they flap at highway speed ,it is canvas what do you expect
however with the "top prop" and the AC fan on 3 or 4 they are not bad
I found the hard top to be quiet but not worth the trouble
so I sold it and bought a locker

Security is not an issue
I use ammo cans bolted down and latches blocked by the back door
I dont think twice about going off with no doors and top down and leaving it in
a parking lot

do what now.. ?

go buy the smaller size amo can ,about 6-8"
bolt it down so that the latch faces to the rear door
and is within 1" or less
when the door is closed and locked so are the cans

I had this for a while but just recently had to remove the carpets
due to a dead something and am now taking a different route with some
1/8" plate and angle and bigger cans
-storage under
-easy to get to stuff on top
-secure

Again, not one suggestion to ask dudes on a JK forum. WTF???#-o
I would of suggested a JK specific site if I thought it was warranted, but like I said above... visit the Tuffy site for your security needs.

Tuffy = over priced ,for my needs any way
I need to lock up my tools
which are kept in the back
I can cut and weld steel all day long which is much cheeper than Tuffy
