I just got a quickair II from someone either on this site, or LOST from ebay. I'm wondering where everyone has mounted it. I cant seem to find a good place under the hood, as I plan on keeping my stock air box, and the area along the fender isnt quite open, as I have electronic rust proofing and a few other things there. I ran the wire through the firewall and down the drivers side to under the back seat, drivers side. I'm thinking I will remove the back seat and install it there, probably with self tapping sheet metal screws, does anyone see a problem with this? Do you think I should drill through the body and get some longer bolts? I was thinking of maybe just a 3/16 plate, to level the area under the seat, then attaching the compressor to that. I will be running hose to the cargo area for a removeable air tank/pressure switch setup. I'd like to eventually find a 1.5 gallon tank I can attach under the truck, but havent even looked at locations. Any ideas or suggestions?
