So you hit a rock laying beside of the road? :D

Just remember what with a lift, bigger tires, and offroad, there will be things wearing out later on down the road that will require alot more money than the $50 it will take to fix that exhaust.

get springs and install them then later in the summer when i have more money, get a real lift. can i do that?

ms5490Rene,

I did mine that way. I found it to be rather cost effective. A few more buck in shipping, but defered over timw and not a HUGE hit at once. If i understand you correctly, you want to maybe get the components say a pair at a time so you don't have as much out-of-pocket hit all at once.

I shopped over a couple of months and purchase my Old Man Emu HD springs, shocks and nick nacks to complete my lift (like new stock strut mounts, insulators for the struts, and shock retainer plates for the struts) and took them to a local shop where a bunch of 4 wheelers work and the compressed the springs and assembled the struts for me for 20.00. That way I had a complete set of and All I had to do was pull the stockers and insert the new OME assembled struts.

Then took the assembled struts home, waited a couple of weeks for scheduling the install. In the mean time I studied all the posts i could find as well as the FSM about the suspension and it removal and install and then jumped in one saturday.

By my self it took around 4 hours. First front strut was the toughest, learning curve. Rears are easiy to do.

Anyway, shop around order the springs and shock a pair at a time and assemble them then announce a LIFT party and buy some beer and pizza and have fun installing.

Just dont get that entire cat back exhaust since its kinda a waste. You can get just the muffler and get the same effect.
Why?

I had the Borla dual cat-back kit,it was great, great looking and sounding.I only had to get rid of it after I crushed the muffler. If your not crazy offroad(like me)you'll not have any problems and the Borla kit will out last the KJ since it's made entirely out of 409 stainless steel, hence the cost also.

Didnt mean it wasnt a good kit(it is), just trying to save him some money. :)

If you want to drop the exhaust below the bumper then its a nice kit to get.

In the pic below was the only time I ever touched my tips on any obstical, just a lite scrape was all, have done many drop off like this before and never even touched them.Maybe my 265/75's helped in that area. They had a bet going in MOAB on how long my tips would last, they lasted the whole time I was there.

tjkj....nice pic. It does look like the tip hangs low, but you are lifted with bigger tires, so I agree that must have saved it.

Yah they hung low after I put the RL rear bumber on,with the OEM bumber they sat right below it.I had planned on getting then raised but crushed the muffler so I scrapped them all together.
