Hi people....me again with another conundrum....need to replace the coolant tank cap....I get a replacement at NAPA.....doesn't look the same....but according to the computer its the replacement cap....I call the dealership and it seems the replacement cap they have is now plastic....Now I know that some parts are dealer specific and you can't use a after market part for some situations but I am trying to figure out why there is such a difference in caps.....am I over thinking this??? Dealer cap is $50 and plastic and after market from NAPA was $12 and metal.....should I trust the Napa cap and go with the flow...???....oh and both are rated 16lbs...just thought I would mention that as well

Probably doesn't matter as long as it seals and its the same psi.

Mopar started using the plastic cap quite awhile ago.
