Radiator Cap - Is This Normal?

LOL I though I was the only one who carried spare radiator caps. Should of known you did as well . When cleaning out my underseat storage area on the 04 , came across 2 new ones !

Yep I always carry spare items like that because while cheap parts will ruin a trip fast.

Always have a spare..............

-Radiator cap
-Upper/lower radiator hoses(and clamps)
-Serp belt
-Tensioner
-U-joints
-Manual lockouts
-Coils
-Spark plugs
-Various nuts/bolts/wire/terminal ends/fuses/relays/bulbs

The reaction to the High Way Patrolmans face when I pulled out the cordless impact gun was priceless. At a Roadside rest, he was trying to help some lady and was having trouble with 2 of the lugs, I popped them off and then had a great chat about speeding LOL

I've had so many things go wrong with my Liberty in the last two weeks that I've been spending money I don't have. I don't even know how I'm paying my rent tomorrow.

It was either buy it online for $5 or pay around $20 from a parts store.

I have coolant in my trunk and I've been checking the level after every drive.
Doesn't seem to be going down so hopefully it will be ok until tomorrow.

After an overheating issue about a year ago I carry three full bottles of HOAT antifreeze in the KJ everywhere with me.

Glad to know I'm not the only rolling tool chest out there! My dad always taught me to carry spare tools and spare parts. Guess that's what you get when you grow up in a family with multiple old cars that can break down just about anywhere.

After an overheating issue about a year ago I carry three full bottles of HOAT antifreeze in the KJ everywhere with me.

There was a jug of antifreeze under the passenger seat for close to 200,000 miles. One same place in the 03 LOL
