Recently asked about the grey color code for bumpers and fender flares, in the meantime I repainted the plastic black grille insert on my Sport trim. Had never used the below SEM paint products, and time will tell how it holds up, but it sprayed and went on very well and looks great! Much better than my faded black (essentially white lol) grille before. Super subtle but hey it all adds up.
The larger grille assembly comes out w some torx screws (I had all this off to replace headlight assemblies anyhow). Once off, the black grille insert pops out of tabs from the larger grille. I cleaned it, let it dry, scuffed it up w a green scotch beige pad, cleaned again and let it dry. I then used the SEM plastic adhesion promoter, follow instruction on the can, then did the black trim paint top coat.
SEM plastic adhesion promoter:
SEM 39863 Plastic Adhesion Promoter Aerosol - 14.8 oz. https://a.co/d/cKMtzuc
SEM black plastic trim spray paint (yes product photo on AMZN is different than can I received):
SEM 39143 Trim Black Aerosol - 15 oz. https://a.co/d/5ZUazws
