Rear axle question

Hi guys.

I have a 2008 Liberty that im rebuilding and a 2008 Nitro that im using for as a parts donor. Does anybody know if the rear axel in my 2008 Nitro will fit in the 08 Liberty? If so, is the driveshaft the same as well? I have the dreaded growling in the rear end of the liberty and i know the Nitro is still good because ive owned it since it was new. Afraid to buy a junkyard one and have the same problem.

I assume they are both the same axle casings? Check the diff ratio is the same or you will have a nasty surprise if you select 4x4
