Hello.
2003 Jeep liberty 3.7 here with a rear differential fluid leak coming from the driver side of the differential housing (it appears)

I am wondering what kind of seals or opening it could be leaking from there? It is not dripping down the housing seal... It is dripping from the axel to the side of the differential. I noticed this diagram shows an axel vent bolt right around that area. My axel is currently covered in buildup but i did not feel any bolt protruding. Is this something that is recessed into the axel more and doesnt stick out?
That aside, is there a common seal on that side that I can replace?
TIA

Diff breather is right there
It screws down in, no seal
breather could be plugged up some ?
Get some good degreaser and power wash the area down well
then keep checking it
then you'll know for sure
