Please educate me on how I'm wrong please and how the integrated part of the sway bar is different
I'm not a teacher,If you want to know start researching.Shouldn't be to hard for a 19 yo EMT.Not worth my time to scan the thousand pages or so I have in books about suspesnions dealing with swaybars and how they effect roll center,squat,anit-squat,and all that fun stuff.

I've talked to my two uncle's who are certified mechanics one works for Ford and the other Toyota. And I talk to the mechanic who aligned my front end about it. They said it was fine off. They all test drove it and said there's many stock IFS without sway bars. I'm not concerned

I've ran discos for offroading on all my Jeeps except the Liberty due to the IFS. To each his own but IMHO it's not worth the risks on road.

Mechanics are parts changers.Technicians are trained. It's not safe to drive at road speeds with the front swaybar off on a IFS vehicle, this is from a trained 16 year ASE Master Tech with many certifications from GM,Chrysler,Detroit Diesel,Allison,AM General, and OshKosh.

Well to end this,

if you want to run that way its your right
We can only tell you it is not safe no matter what an Uncle or Aunt says
Lets just hope that someday it doesn't cause a wreck that causes harm to anyone.
Good luck

Ah,

I honestly never even thought about running disconnects. Me and my Dad made em out of steel pins with the spring clips on his wrangler. I might just do that Cause I gotta have the same amount of flex in it. But when I put my 4.7 in it that added weight might make a bigger difference. Like I said I've gotta have the same amount of flex I have now off-road. Before I took it off my inclinometer hated me always buzzing. But as soon as I took it off it shut up most of the time lol

Be nice now Tom ... :happy175:

I thought it was beyond his years for him to ask to be educated instead of getting his ******* in a knot.

Kudos

So it's not even worth while to wheel with it off? No noticeable gains or articulation? I was gonna try wheeling with it off but if its not worth it I'll probable just skip it. Seems like it would be more of a pain to take off and put back on if nothing is gained.

You'll get improved articulation, yes. You'll also get a trip to NAPA to buy new CV axles. The extended droop will kill the CV's in short order. You could put in custom shaved CV's but at $2000 a pair it's not worth it for this KJ junkie :icon_rolleyes:

The way I look at things on the internet is when something like this is talked about first thing you know you have 3 people saying "OH so and so have their front sway bar off so its ok " They start around a curve, go to miss a deer and roll over and are killed. If something is not safe or shouldn't be done, I'm not going to set back and say " Oh thats alright, it's cute that way " :Big Laugh:

Heck, I feel weird having enlarged the UCA pockets for my JBA arms. Everytime I hear a weird noise off road I'm waiting for my CV's to grenade

I never disco'd my front swaybar when I was IFS and never had a need to,no that I'm SFA my front swaybar is still always attached no matter if on road or offroad.Granted I run the Currie Anti-Rock which actually improves "Useable Flex" compared to a disco'd vehicle.

I agree .. so logically, not poking at someone would be a more efficient method of achieving your goal.
ie increasing the chances that your wisdom is absorbed

I understand that my Jeep was made when I was in 4th grade. But just because I'm going doesn't mean I'm stupid sure I haven't made the mistakes y'all have made but my dad has and he has helped me not make the same off roading mistake he has and I'm sure some of y'all have. Speaking of not having a front sway bar it is dangerous. It was funny because I've been arguing on this post for a couple days and last night went around about a 100° Right turn with about a 40° inward slope and as soon as I took the turn a dog was right in front of me and I swerved left and my right front dropped and my left came up, then corrected that and had 3 tires in the ditch and then corrected that and on to my house I went lol. But I have had to take and pass(which I did lol) 5 different driving courses which weren't easy. A typical driver wouldn't have recovered
