Replaced My 05 KJ CRD

Some of you may remember three years ago I sold my 05 CRD, it had OME, Renegade flares, 245 Treadwright MTRs with Walnut lining, backbone, winch, GDE computer, and many other mods... It was a sad day, but I couldn't bring it to South Africa.

Just about a year ago I separated from the US military (and my US Embassy post) to start a NPO/ Public Benefit Organisation to protect biodiversity and combat poaching. A crazy ride it has been, but we did gain JEEP sponsorship along the way. No they aren't Liberty's, but if you'd like to see some photos of my Sahara CRD, Rubicon, and killer J8 I would love to share them.

We are even getting a Conservation Edition line of vehicles, with proceeds to to my organization. I am hopeful that line will hit the US in the near future as well...

I like the J8 It's also good to see Jeeps in that setting. For a long time now, LRs and Landcruisers have been regarded as the only really practical bush vehicles (and Merc G-Wagens if you have the cash), and Jeeps regarded more as not being very practical because of the lack of a long-wheelbase version. I'd hope to see their use spread in this market.

Lancer, it is very true... this is Toyota country, but Land Rover is not far behind. I even drove a 110 Defender before we linked up with Jeep.

The J8 turn radius dominates (even the Rubicon and Saharas) so that is exciting for my guys out in the bush. We'll be trying to the long wheel base J8 in soon, just to start spreading the word on what is available. The Wranglers and J8s hold their own in 4x4 situations, but the lack of accessories (here in ZA) and seating does limit them slightly

Over there I would run nothing but a Land Rover or a Toyota Land Cruiser. Not sure why you'd want a Jeep and the unavailability of parts/service.
Anyone has or can get parts for LRs and LCs and anyone can repair them.
I had shocks for my wifes Toyota in less than a day, other parts even small shops in smaller towns had most things available.
One of those when in Rome.........
