Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and looking forward to being a regular user.

I just bought a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited for my wife. They are actually called Jeep Cherokee Limited in Australia if you can believe that!

Anyway, after a backing up incident, the right hand electric mirror was broken. Both the glass and the adapter to go between the glass and the four fingers on the electical mechanism was also broken.

I've managed to source a new mirror (just the glass) but the doughnut shaped adapter to go on the back of the mirror so it can attach to the fingers on the mirror housing is proving to be a little more difficult.

Does anyone know what the OEM part number os for this adapater, and where I might be able to source a replacement? Don't care if the part is new or second hand - just need it.

Many thanks

Sonny

I believe you!

Have you considered going to a dealer to get an official part number for what you are looking for?

Jeep tends to be very expensive here in Australia. When I went to the local Jeep dealer to find out how much a new mirror and adaptor would cost, the said they could only sell me the entire mirror replacement system - for $1,300 Aussie dollars (around $1,000 USD). I had a heart attack. They won't give me a part numbers.

I did find a place which could sell me the mirror but when I asked them about the adapter, they couldn't help me out - not even with a part number.

So I'm kinda stuck. Is there a document out there I can download which gives me part breakdowns with part number?

You can buy the entire mirror (manual or electric with heat) from eBay sellers for under $75 USD.
