Reset Service Distance question

Every time I turn my KJ on I get the annoying beeps, and my EVIC says "perform service" I've tried a million times to reset it but nothing seems to work. I get the screen "reset service distance?" I've tried to hit yes and no and it doesn't work! any ideas? what do you usually hit?

Well according to the 06 user manual :

Reset Service Distance (Displays Only if Service Interval was Changed)
When this feature is selected the current accumulated
service distance can be reset to the newly selected service
interval. Pressing the STEP button when in this display
will select “Yes” or “No.”

So you hit the Menu button till you come to this option and you use Step to select yes or no? Is this what your doing?

It was an option on all kj's. Has nothing to do with the year.

All I do is go to the miles left on this service and hold reset.

I have this on my 03' after adding the EVIC to it, just step to it and hold reset. When i do this i hear a DING and it goes back to 3000 miles.

i havent tried holding reset yet so i'll give that a shot! thanks guys!
