Very nice place. You drove 350 miles to get there or were you in the area? Where exactly is this place? MA?

Nice! But I can't believe that you are allowed on the beach with a vehicle. Where I'm from, we have beaches and dunes just like that, and if you were even caught walking on the dunes in the wrong areas........BIG FINE!

Something to do with Piping Plubber and protected species and all that.

I can't believe how much that looks like PEI.

Yeah I live in New York state, it's 350 +/- miles away. It's Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It's a big vacation destination south of Boston. All along Cape Cod there are beaches monitored and maintained by the Federal Government. This is known as the "Cape Cod National Seashore". Miles of beach with alot of history and cool museums and stuff.

Yea it's pretty cool and very unique nowadays with all the tree huggers around. The beaches are monitored and heavily patrolled by the US Park Police, but they still let you drive on them once you get a permit. It's a big part of Cape Cod heritage and a very popular thing to do.

The beach gets closed down at times during the summer because of that bird, the Piping Plover, which is a protected species. They nest in the sand and hatch their eggs. Once that's over with, they open the beaches right back up to ORV's.

That's pretty cool. I know we also have a few spots out here we can go but we would need to get fishing permit which is not issued throughout the year, only during certain period, once you miss it, wait til next year.

Very cool. I've got family up in the New England area, so I'm kinda familiar with that type of scenery. Even been to Block Island? I'm not sure if they'll let you drive on the beach there, but there is a ferry that takes vehicles out. If you've never been, it's one of my favorite places to visit period.
