You know some need to get a life. I said nothing to anyone about being ******** or stupid. Only stating what has worked great for years, no way to end up with bent valves etc. I worked as a mechanic for years and you never just dump whatever down a carb or throttle body.

Some have their way of doing things. I prefer mine and also a lot of others who have done it the same way.

Lets say I do it your way Mr. Mudd, how would I do it on our KJ's I have no idea where the Vac Line is...

Speaking of which, damn glad i have a THROTTLE CABLE after seeing the latest accidents with Toyota... They extended the Tundra recall and now Prius is going on the list after a few of them have had the same problem.

I did this to mine. being its a CRD I could not do the vac hose thing to get it in to the intake. You are Never to put any liquid like seafoam into the intake of a diesel engine. it will cause a runaway engine....not good. I did put in in the brake booser hose on the subaru I used to have, that worked well on its H4 gas engine.

I put half the can in with the oil the day before my change and drove nice and easy. before I get flamed the seafoam site claims this is safe for up to 100 miles or more. I drained the oil then when warn, changed my oil filter and filled with 6.5 quarts of Shell Rottella T6 5w40. I put the rest in the fuel tank. My engine sounds great and runs great.

next fuel filter change I might prefill the filter with some seafoam.

I have looked everywhere for this mystical Vacuum line..I still can not find it and I've looked at my parts catalog and it just confused me, anyone have a direct picture of it so I know exactly where it is? I'm tired of looking for it because the parts catalog has like 30 things under vacuum..

To get the sea foam in the headlights, you've got to remove the bulb and insert a invisible funnel to direct the magical mystery goop to the properly determined location. Reinstall the headlight, turn on bulbs, wait for sparks. Then drill a hole in the clear lens to drain the goop out and enjoy the uselessness of this post.

i must've done this wrong on the other vehicle i tried this on...i couldn't get the brake booster vacuum line to suck it up, i literally had to pour it into the booster line little by little. after halfway thru the can, i shut off the car.....15-20 mins later, i started it and no magic smoke....it just ran like it normally did.

this is why I use the direct method straight through the throttle body, no vaccuum lines to mess with, just undo the hose clamp on the throttle body, pull the box back, pour, choke and die, install hose clamp, sit & wait, restart, choke on smoke (naughty)

I get a kick out of all this.

Back before the days of computers and back when most cars, and trucks still had a carburetor bolted to the top of the engine, we would remove the breather and pour automatic transmissions fluid down the carburetor. It would pretty much do the same thing as Seafoam. You even got the sought after black cloud effect. lol

Now, I'm not recommending anyone try this on today's computer controlled vehicles. I'm just saying that all this is kind of funny to me.

lol i agree with shaffer!! we did the same thing.

honestly i think yure wastin yur money dumpin thats stuff ino the intake..
gas burns rather clean. back in the days of leaded fuel things would carbon up rather qwikly. should be very littel carbon in a modern gas engine today.
