51k is a tad high...but not for a diesel. And it's black.....:D

If you didn't install the lift, and you're in a good position to trade, and your ready, why not???

Jen and I are thinking of doing it.
Better fuel economy, 2 years newer. Maybe it's off to the bank today and see.
Not to crazy about the monthly payments though! Considering that our 2004
is bought and paid for if full.

Decisions.

Ultimately it's up to you, but just a thought of my own...if you're not having any issues with the '04, and if it's paid off, it'd probably be smarter to keep it--financially speaking, anyway. Compare the costs of fuel economy on your '04 to the CRD's and then add in monthly payments, etc. Basically, just do your research first xD My '02 has a 114k on it and is still going strong.

An oil burner, eh.

It looks good and it is my favorite color....black. It doesn't cost you anything to see how the deal would shake out. Take it for a good test ride and check it out good. Then decide what's best for you.

Ryan.....I forgot to add....I'm about in the same position as you. Mine's payed off, and I kinda want another Jeep. A WJ or a JK...maybe a CRD would be best for me!!! Kinda want a WJ....:D

So let us know how your "homework" goes!

In my world want over powers need. :p But like what was already said, how much would fuel savings be compared to interest...payments..maybe more insurance??

To me, it would make more sense to keep a paid off rig as opposed to buying another to make the payments again.

Jen said she wouldn't mind Jeep Commander!
That company we bought our KJ from has one, a 2006,
100000 km/63000 miles.
$23500.00
It's not listed on their site though.
A lease return, but thats fine. A rep mobile. All highway miles.
5.7 liter!
Very nice.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with our KJ!
I go to these two companies every week. They get new arrivals all the time.

Like I said though, our KJ is paid off, so all the money I dish out on it now
is all after market goodies.

The Jeep dealer across the street from me has an 06 BLACK Sport CRD... they have a fake front plate on it that says "DIESEL" which caught my eye ;)

77,000 kms (~48,000 mi), $19,998 CDN. Been there a while, they may be willing to deal...

Hmmm. Hmmmm. Did I mention it's black? ;)

Several things stopping me at the moment - my '05 is paid off, but high mileage = low trade-in...

Not sure I want to get as into the CRD mechanically as it seems one must to keep them running well...

But I do tow a travel trailer... hmmm.

lol

... And buy this 2006 CRD for $18,860.00?
83,000.0 Km/51,573.809 miles.
I think it's a pretty good price for an '06 with that mileage.

Do it!! No, don't do it!! Do it!!

I don't get it. You'll get 101 different opinions before it's over. Why even ask a forum what to do??? Do your research (Kelly Blue Book, Edmund's etc) and make up your own mind... only you know what your wants, needs and finances are.

I have never understood these kind of questions, asking a bunch of people you don't know what to do in your life.... (dunno)

Don't do it.

I know from experience.

Leave it there, trust me. Unless you want to spend $3k in mods just to be able to drive it every day.
