should i trim my front bumper?

Pretty straight forward. Should i trim some fat off the bottom of my front bumper? it would involve deleting the factory fogs and adding bolt ons in its place but i like the more lifted look it gives. Any reason i shouldnt other then personal preference?

I just cut all that lower crap off and think it looks much better, but i also have an 05 so didnt have to move fogs

Ive seen atleast one user on here do it to an early model, i cant remember the user name. The picture showed up on the photo roll at the top of the board index. It looks good for suck a simple mod. If i end up doing it ill post some pictures

Yea wildmans looks pretty good. I don't know how the hell you cut it so good tom. Mine looks like a rat chewed it

Hot knife would work best. But you could get away with using a jig saw and then sand the edges clean.

wrong...heated up razor blade????? Come on now that's amateur hour stuff

Hole saw for drywall, takes it nice and slow, no bad cuts, finish the edge with some sand paper and done

I hot knife is a little more high tech then heating up a razor blade :shrug:
I was thinking of continuing the cut all the was across the bottom. And how are those hooks fastened? Oh and btw tom, i just put on the 132l's and its like night and day! I feel like a jack ass getting the wrong shocks though. Thanks for all the help to you an tjkj2002 and as always my offer still stands for beers on me :favorites13:. The hooks are the stock factory tow hooks
hot knife is OK I guess but one slip and you're done
don't like it plus the melted plastic is a bear to smooth up
I wouldn't take it all the way across, bumper would be real weak then and flap in the breeze , plus would show everything under there a lot more

and yes the right shocks make a world of difference !!!
After we bought the Toyota over there ( Tanzania ) my wife was telling me that there was a thunk in the back, it was a couple of weeks before I got there and as soon as I took it for a drive I said shocks!
She argued they had been replaced. I go out remove them ( both rear) and say come on, we took a short ride, asked her" hear anything? she stated "NO what did you do" so told her and ordered new rear shocks and no more thunk! :icon_razz::winner_third_h4h:
