I'm a notorious impulse buyer, just ask anyone in my family.
The other day while looking for a tarp in WallyMart I spotted this large plastic box c/w latches for $39.

Even though it is pretty flimsy it does come with latches and I can tie it to the floor. At the time I thought it was a fair price and a solution to my storage problems in the back of my Libby.

I've thrown all the loss stuff that was sliding around in the back of my Libby into one container and using bungee cords I've fastened it to the floor. Now cleaning out the back of my Jeep takes five minutes not fifteen.

My next project will be one of those shelves to cover the rear cargo area.

Ya that works! I have a smaller one that just takes up half of our limited space in the right corner.Your's is nice and large, but in my case, I like still having room for stuff on the left side so I can just pop the rear window and access stuff.
Keep in mind that when u have a shelf above, it kinda makes it tough to lift the lid on your container.

the cargo shelves that everyone seems to make are super handy though. i made one for around $30 in about 3 or 4 hours (painted it too). i used the dimensions someone posted over here. i used stair runner carpet to carpet it though, it has a nice rubber backing on it and it stapled down nicely. i also bought a fire extinguisher and mounted it on the bottom side. the shelf keeps the area underneath it a little cooler in the summer as well.

I have seen similar ones at Can Tire, but Liberty Fever, stated in OP.

So I would say you might find it at Wally World, maybe some glasses too!:p

LF, that looks like a good idea. I will have to check them out. You said the box is a little flimsy though?

Actually what I do is important. I consider myself one of the lucky, with many benefits. It is amazing what you have to go through to get decent employment in this country.
When they have not raised minimum wage for those less fortunate.

Look around some - several different makers for large boxes like these.

I have several made by CONTI (if I remember correctly). I'm thinking I only paid $20-$25 each, and they are stackable. Strong enough that I've gone 5 high in the garage with them.

I keep all my camping gear in these. Makes loading up to go a snap, and when I get there, I don't have to worry about what I forgot.

Great Idea and thanks for sharing.

Stop picking on Ryan09 guys. What we need is a redneck translation ;)

WallyMart or Wally World = WalMart

Maybe $39 was too much for this item and maybe you can find it cheaper somewhere else. Again I am an impulse buyer. I can't control myself when I go into Princess Auto (a Canadian version of Mardens)

For those of you who want details here's a close up pic of the label on the box;

No I don't think you could stack these boxes easily but they do come with wheels. Believe it or not this box is supposed to be "Airline Approved!", whatever that means. Myself I wouldn't trust the latches to hold and the way I've seen luggage handlers treat luggage I'd bet this box won't reach the destination intact.

I do like the hooks on this box, suitable for bungee cord use.

In my box I keep my recovery gear as well as more bungee cords, a length of rope and a tool bag full of my towing accessories.

I think for $40 you have what appears to be a fairly good quality, all in one storage container!
If I was good at woodworking, I would like to have a locking 3 door, sliding cabinet built, similar to a filing cabinet from floor to ceiling, in half of the Kj rear compartment area.
