Spare Tire Cover

Once you cover it, don't forget to take the cover off and check the pressure every once I'm a while. Once it's out of sight, it's out of mind.

That's actually why I kicked this thread to the top again. I went out to check my spare's pressure and the @$^#%&*%^$@# zippers broke on me, so I was hoping to learn what you guys think does a good job these days.

Most of the ones I have seen have a elastic band around the back side to keep them on, no zippers

Most zippers rust pretty bad in the weather, even the nicer YKK ones. When I was doing recovery/towing in HS, if I had $1 for every car that I would put a spare on that had about 10 PSI in it, I would have never paid for college. I'm still surprised that most OEM Liberty spares don't get stolen more often for the elusive factory tire size.

That's what I am discovering. The one on mine from the factory had 2 zippers.

Mine too. But when I changed to bigger tires it wouldn't fit anyway so I just gave it away. I have an aftermarket one that came off a JK that has a bungee cord type tie built in around the back of it that holds it on but I only had it on for 20 minutes and took it off. (just says "Jeep" on it) I've been running with no tire cover for a long time now. Easier to check the air pressure.
