So I want to finally fix my passenger front window (regulator of course) I was near a stealership so I decided to go in. Maybe they would fix for free since so many were affected (02's are not recalled) He told me he could fix for $400.. (I know it is a whole new assemble and motor) but you can get that for $130.. They are crazy

I found another site (TKO auto) that has the metal replacement bracket, just like Steigler, for $50... That is more like it..

What dealer? Just wondering. I really liked Jerry Ulm for servicing.

I bought my 99' Durango at Jerry Ulm.. I didn't have to visit them often though, that Durango treated well.

Here is the parts you want !
Do it once and never again!

Yes.. I got that... I mentioned TKO autoparts because they also have a metal braket at $30 Less than Steiger.

I can also buy the entire set up, motor and all, just as the dealer would, for $130... So, yes, it could be more than just the bracket, but I can't believe the $$$ the dealership want to fix.

I have saved so much $$ on all my Jeep repairs and maintenance by going on line, researching on this great forum as well as finding a you tube video and doing myself. Thanks to all for the help and advice.

Yeah I'm not much of a fan of that place. I go there to kick tires, the sales reps are pretty annoying and unhelpful.

Bob Wilson was even worse.

The newer regulators require a new window also if replacing the whole regulator.

New window?? Have not heard that one yet. Why is that? They did not say that as I would also have to re-tint my very dark window as well. I think the dealer would have said something if that were to happen

In the multiple attempts from jeep to fix the lift plate issue, they redesigned the plate itself which has a different mount then the older ones. So..

You buy a new regulator budget for a new piece of glass. Every time one of mine broke I had to buy new glass.
