My roommate who may be lurking pulled up today in a 2004 columbia edition blue w/silver. He's got the roof escape so I'm a bit jealous. Speak up buddy.

I don't know what's the deal with that..
I have it and I don't think I ever use it, or it has any use at all.. In summer it burns your head and heats up inside, in winter it just transfers cold inside, you cannot keep it open at high speed, etc.. It ONLY LOOKS COOL. There is no other reason! I wouldn't pay for it I had an option.

The shield on the inside keeps the sun from beating down if it gets too hot, and I dont really notice any difference in excessive heat or cold w/ the sunroof than in a vehicle w/o one. And can't keep it open at high speed? I leave mine open on the highway all the time....no problems

I meant when open, sun will hit you in the head.
Keeping it open in the highway doesn't do much better than keeping windows open.

Yea, but isn't it noisy on the highway? Mine is. I use mine all the time everywhere but the highway. Then I close it. :D

My "roof escape" is always open. It gets more fresh air into the cab and lets more light in. The vent feature is very nice during the summer, as well.

Doesn't bother me.....I've usually got the radio cranked all the way up. 4 windows down, sunroof open, and rear glass open as well.....makes for a lovely breeze through the cabin.

Yeah I know, i'm about to get flamed for the rear glass open deal.

Flame me too because I do it all the time unless it's really hot and humid, then I use the A/C.

burns your head? what do you do when the sun comes in through the windows and burns your face? .......... I think the biggest fear I had in the past about having a sunroof was leaking issues. But, after having one for since the Jeep I love it!!

Windows down, Top open, and A/C crankin'!!

I don't find it terribly usefull either. I'd rather have a longer roof rack.

from time to time it'll work for a tailgator or two, its great for tossing a handful of change out of.......cures tailgating fever, i dont know if its because its shiney or the sound it makes hitting your hood at 80mph:eek:
