Tried to bleed my radiator on Liberty 3.7 2004. Hexagon bleed but won't budge even after heating it up. I subsequently stripped the darn thing. Have noticed just above at higher point at radiator is a return pipe to filling reservoir. Surely this system could self bleed into the reservoir bottle. Am I wrong.

Did you completely drain the system or what work has been performed there that requires bleeding the air out?
Allowing the jeep to fully cool down overnight & refilling the reservoir as necessary to the cold line, and then allowing jeep to fully warm up, will get the system pressurized again, as long as there are no leaks.
The Mopar thermostat also has a built in air bleed hole to assist as well.
Only Hoat or Zerex G-05 coolant to be used in the system.

didn't the KK go to an open(?) system where the tank is just an overflow?
just keep topping it up. air should eventually purge out.

OP has an 04 KJ, just moved into KJ Gen Discussion section, Thanks!I would like to mention that for those wanting to break free that hex bleeder, please don't use an allan key.
It's on there real tight, and a good way to strip it.
Use a good penetrating fluid first, & system hot.
With left hand on top keeping it straight, w/downward force, and the ratchet to break it free.
