I've read a few people with the Superchips in their Jeep but I am having a hard time finding the right one for my 04 Libby. Anyone care to chime in so I know roughly how much it will cost?

I don't have one, but from research i did, superchips doesn't have a programmer for the liberty. There are two i looked at, the Hypertech Max Energy Programmer and the Jet Performance Module which plugs in between your pcm and the wire harness. I may be wrong on the superchips, but their website only mentions jk, xj, Cherokee, tj and commander. The jet runs about $250. There is a stage one and a stage 2 chip, different levels of tuning. The hypertech is $330 or so.

Yeah that's where I am finding it difficult to find one for the Liberty. I've read people on here having them but have no idea which ones they used. Im almost curious if they used a Cherokee one since I hear the Liberty is very similar to the Cherokee. I just really need to reprogram the CPU for my tires for my Speedometer and mileage o_o

Looks like some used same engine as the liberty, but not certain on that. Also looks like some of the Dodge ram trucks did as well. I'm sure someone on here would know.

Have you looked at Hypertech Programmer? As I can see it is available for the Jeep Liberty 3.7L 2004-2005. With this part you will be able to get the following results: Premium Fuel: HP Gain 25, TQ Gain 25. Regular Fuel: HP Gain 24, TQ Gain 24. Also it has additional features, like reading and clearing diagnostic codes, speedometer correction for 22-44 inch tires: Hypertech® 52501 - Jeep Liberty 2004-2005 Max Energy Programmer

I have a Superchips Flashpaq on the Wrangler. It is alright but nothing special. They do not make anything for the Liberty though..

I have however heard of people messaging them asking for special tunes etc. I doubt it will happen for the KJ but it never hurts to ask, right?

That only applies for a Jet chip or something similar. Superchips is a programmer (like Diablo or Hypertech, etc), actually changes the program.
Superchips for Jeeps is only Wrangler and GC I think. Only Hypertech for the Liberty or SCT with custom tuning for certain years. OP, I think you can do what you're trying to do with the Hypertech. If not, dealer or someone with a dealer computer.

Yeah that's what i've been finding through my research. I might just have to save up for the programmer so I can change things for the tire size and stuff. O well thanx for the help.

So what exactly are you planning on buying? Please be careful so as to not throw your money away! Unless you have lots, in which case my address is xxxxxxxxx------------, I could use a little extra.
And for the record, if you read what I wrote in your other thread about the tires, I never said I have the superships programmer for the KJ, I have one for my JK. (in response to your PM to me)

Bleh I must have read that wrong =\

I am not looking for gaining anything. Just something I can reprogram the computer for the tires so my speedometer and odometer reflect the driving. Nothing too fancy. Just something that will help me not to get pulled over.

If that's the case, the dealer can do just that for you for less than a programmer, if you don't necessarily want the gains from a programmer.

That's what I thought but all the shops around here have told me the locale dealerships won't touch a lifted vehicle...that's the only reason i was looking for one o_o

Dealerships only, the chips like they have for JKs/ TJs etc we do not have them
Plus only certain years can be done, 02-to I think 05
So you are listening to what shops say about dealerships
almost like asking a drug dealer where the best hookers are

True, but I worked as a car salesperson at one point (a very lowly point actually) and I know sometimes they don't always have things for later modeled vehicles. I guess all I can do is actually go to a dealership and ask. I don't think it would hurt anything either. I just figured having the programmer would help if I ever decide to change out of the 265/75's back down to 245/75 or anything else. Doesn't hurt to do researchign and ask for help =D
